Apple on Tuesday launched the next-generation iMac. The latest offering from Apple comes in two display sizes 27-inch and 21.5-inch.

The new iMac is 80% thinner than the previous generation at 5mm. The new iMac was introduced by Apple's Senior Vice President for Marketing, Phil Schiller. It comes equipped with a FaceTime HD camera and stereo sound.

"The iMac comes with a wireless keyboard and mouse," said Schiller. The 21.5-inch version of the iMac is priced starting at $1299.

Apple also introduced a new 13-inch Macbook Pro. The computer which weights 3.5 pounds is the lightest Macbook Pro that Apple has ever made, claimed Phil Schiller.

The Macbook line-up from Apple has Macbook Air for $999, Macbook Pro for $1199 and Macbook Pro with retina display for $1699.
