Soon under-13s would be able to join the social networking site Facebook, as the Facebook is set to lift the ban on children using its site. Perhaps this is done in a move that could see millions of new users for the site.
A senior employee of the company said the decision to lift the restriction could come about after admitting a large number of under 13-year-olds join up anyway. If the decision to loft the ban is implemented, a flood of new users are likely to sign up to the site.
The senior employee said that 'There is reputable evidence there are kids under 13 who are lying about their age to get onto Facebook.
Facebook have a strict under-13 rule because of legal issues in America and they apply the same rule all over the world.
