Windows phone overtakes iPhone in China:Microsoft

After just two months of launch in China Microsoft's Windows phone has overtaken iPhone in Chinese market. This statement comes from Microsoft's Greater China region COO. According to them company's Window phone has captured 7pc of the smartphone outdoing iPhone's 6pc share.

According to research firm IDC, this year China is set to become the largest smartphone market in the world overtaking United States. China would be a great market for Nokia too as partnership of Microsoft and Nokia could provide consumers with better phones at low cost. Nokia's traditional strength has always been emerging markets like China and India, where consumers want a varied range of smartphone in different price range and Nokia can surely provide this with the help of Windows Phone.
