Yahoo launches new web browser 'Axis'

On Thursday, Yahoo jumped into the fray of web browsers with the launch of its new browser enhancement which it calls 'Axis'. By the launch of this browser Yahoo has also joined the battle to redefine internet search.

Primarily it is launched as an app for iPhone and iPad, but is also available in the form of plug-ins for popular desktop browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari.

Ethan Batraski, head of product for the Search Innovation Group at the company, claimed that this browser will eliminate the middle step of web search process. This browser will take you directly to the web page instead of showing the results. In a normal search process, users first enter a query, views the results and then at last got to the web page. But as Yahoo claims 'Axis' will take you directly to the webpage and of course it would save some of your precious time.

Because I am absolutely terrible about following through with blog awards, I can't in good conscience accept any more. Thank you very much for thinking of me though!
