Web giant Google has revealed its newest version of its Android operating systems, by rolling out a "jelly bean" statue on its front lawn at its headquarters in Mountain View, California.

Th jelly bean statue now joins other dessert-themed statues on Google's lawn, including an ice cream sandwich, donut, cupcake and eclair, all representing the different versions of Android.

The current versions of Android, called Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0, was released last November which brought sweeping changes to the mobile phone and tablet operating systems, and was released with a phone called the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, as it worked closely with Samsung to create a phone for the new software.
