MTS jumpps into Andorid family with its new phone

MTS has announced its Android phone, MTS MTag 401 which runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has been priced at Rs 8,999.

This phone sports a 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen that offers a 800 X 480 resolution. It is powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor and comes with 1700mAh battery. There is a 3MP camera on board and microSD card slot with support upto 32GB. MTS is also offering a 2GB memory card with the purchase of this phone.

According to Telco, MTS TV application will come pre-loaded on this smartphone, which allows users to watch more than 100 TV channels on the move. Moreover MTS is also offering unlimited intra-operator calls and unlimited data usage for three months but to avail the same, the subscriber will have to do a first time recharge of Rs 8.
