New Sony ion smartphone to hit MEA by end of month

Sony mobile communication has announced that its latest smartphone from Xperia range will hit the Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets before the end of August.

The region will become amongst the first to receive the exciting new Xperia ion. Running on Android platform 4.0, the smartphone will be available in Saudi Arabia and the UAE this week with a price tag of Dh2,299.

Through its Xperia smartphone portfolio, the company delivers the best of Sony technology, premium content and services, and easy connectivity to Sony's world of networked entertainment experiences.

The Xperia ion is a combination of Sony's all top technologies like its screen is a Bravia screen, inside the phone there is a Walkman media player and you take photo its actually the same sensor Sony uses in its cyber shot cameras, Sony Mobile Communications director of marketing for MEA Spyros Gousetis told at the launch.
